At Celtic Gold, our shop is managed by a small, friendly team. Each member plays a unique and equally important role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We all work part-time and contribute our individual skills and efforts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both our customers and each other.
Emma is one of the Directors at Celtic Gold and is truly the wearer of all hats within the business. As the second generation to join the company, following in the footsteps of her late parents Joy and Malcolm, Emma brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her work. She specialises in the valuation of jewellery, with a particular focus on rare and precious stones.
Chris serves as the second Director at Celtic Gold and represents the third generation of the business, being Emma’s son. His training has been both in-house, under the guidance of the late Malcolm, and externally in the prestigious Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Another area of expertise lies in watch valuations, which he conducts on-site at Celtic Gold for a fee of £40.
Diane has been a valued member of the Celtic Gold team for nearly ten years. She is affectionately known as “the Oracle”, a testament to her depth of knowledge and reliability on the shop floor. Diane is responsible for ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the shop, keeping track of stock levels and making certain that everything is in order. Her efforts play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction, as she consistently ensures that everyone who visits Celtic Gold has a positive experience.
Since joining the Celtic Gold team in 2022, Jo has become an indispensable part of the business. She acts as the main point of contact between Celtic Gold and our trusted stone setters in Birmingham, ensuring effective and seamless communication. Jo takes great care to see that every piece meets our exacting standards of quality, overseeing the completion of stone-set jewellery and diligently addressing any queries or concerns customers might have about their pieces.
Courtney joined Celtic Gold in 2020, initially starting with us as a Saturday girl while still attending school. Since then, she has remained a valued member of our team. Courtney plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth running of our front-of-house operations. In addition to greeting and assisting customers, she is responsible for checking in new stock, updating our product range on the website, and photographing new arrivals.
Emma 2 has been part of the Celtic Gold team since 2016, joining as our second jeweller and quickly establishing herself as an invaluable member of the workshop. Over several years, she has honed her craft, bringing a wealth of experience to every project. Her patience and skill enable her to perfect our more bespoke pieces, ensuring that every item she works on meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
